The story of "Sartoria Iervolino" starts in Ottaviano, near Naples. At the beginning of the 50s Michela, mother of Giuseppe, after attending school went to the tailors of the city to work as an apprentice.
Do some work after school has been a very common practice in Italy in past years. Typically, young women were directed towards embroidery or sewing, while men turned to woodworking or other manual labor. In those years the mother used to work at home for Neapolitan tailors and Giuseppe, an attentive observer, falls in love with this world.
Giuseppe's growth path begins with the start of a collaboration with one of the best Neapolitan tailors. The collaboration continues for almost a decade. in this period, Giuseppe studies the techniques of working the shirts, the modeling and deepens the knowledge of the heritage of Italian craftsmanship.
The dream of having a tailor's shop and pass on his passion and expertise to its collaborators is so strong, so with this strong fundamental that in 1991 the Iervolino tailor's shop was officially born.
The shirts produced by Giuseppe are excellent items of clothing, distinguishable for the care of every detail. You can wear one of his shirts with different degrees of hand-made steps: from 4 up to 12.
To each his favorite degree of craftsmanship and attention to detail, which only true craftsmanship can achieve. The Barròco team is very happy for this collaboration.
