The Maglificio Fool history starts in 1953 by the will of Mrs. Elvira. Her passion for craftsmanship and, specifically, for knitwear, captures the attention of her husband, a carpenter who builds for her a special wooden frame that can weave two sweaters at a time.
Mrs. Elvira can thus experiment manufacturing her first jerseys, distributing them to friends and relatives. Her passion becomes soon a real business and 3 of her 4 children decided to work alongside her to allow the business to expand.
Collaborations began with Northern European shops for the production of the famous shirts with winter and Christmas designs. We are in the 60s and the 70s.
The organization of the company becomes more complex, the turnover increases, as do investments; new machines are added to the line and the production is the one of a company producing for third parties.
Important collaborations follow, requiring great effort both in terms of quality and quantity, for example the one with Harmont & Blaine, a brand requiring nearly 45,000 garments until 2014. The crisis brings important clients to commissioning the production of their garments abroad in order to reduce costs. This leads Gentili’s to specialize, creating ever more complex collections and complex processes. The result is their H953, widely recognized in the market as a sober, refined and innovative product and used by young customers and at the same time by demanding adults.
The main features of the H953 line are Made in Italy yarns certified and tracked by the main textile consortium, which also guarantees the compliance of the used dyes.
Finally, the continuous study focuses on the deep research of comfort and durability of the product. The continuous research work can be found in a high quality product with impeccable details.
